The Frankfurt Book Fair maintains book information centres and commercial operations abroad, in Beijing, New York, New Delhi and Moscow. We are looking for a Project Manager for our organization Creative Publishing Consulting in Beijing, CHINA to start at the earliest possible date. This full-time position has a fixed term of 2 years.
Your Responsibilities:
As marketing specialist, you will capture our clients’ perception, identify their needs and develop measures for the presentation and improvement of our enterprise’s product portfolio. Your key target markets in East Asia will be China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Your responsibilities will include the following tasks:
• Strategic planning, marketing and launching programmes, formats & events for the Frankfurt Book Fair
• Definition and development of practical formats to generate future profits (congresses, conferences, exhibition space, special exhibitions, presentations, etc.)
• Acquisition of sponsors, key players and partners on the local Asian markets
• Exploring and processing market information as well as relevant topics qualifying as fair themes
• Analysis of target groups, market chances and sales potentials
• Initiating contacts and networking with potential partners
(Establishing networks to link the Asian & international publishing industry)
• Managing the necessary project resources
• Close cooperation and efficient exchange of information with the market experts in Frankfurt
Your Qualifications:
• A degree in media or book and publishing sciences or in economics or comparable qualifications as well as superior proficiency in business administration
• Experience in the fields of sponsor acquisition, business development and project management
• Extensive knowledge of the publishing sector as well as the media and creative sectors and their developments on the relevant markets
• High affinity towards the book and media industry, economic and scientific sectors as well as a high level of networking in these areas
• Conceptual and analytical skills as well as proficiency in the research of economic and branch-related information
• Strong communication skills and power of persuasion for customer relations and for internal networking
• Excellent skills in MS Office and the relevant social media formats
• Business fluency in the English and Chinese language, other Asian languages and German language skills would be an advantage
